kulula flight specials World Cup
There has been much fanfare and noise made about how airlines have increased (along with all tourist-related companies) their prices many times over. There were even some reports how a flight between joburg and durban would cost almost R5000 one-way, during the SWC. In light of all this, kulula threw down the challenge that they would not be increasing their flight prices for the SWC. There would of course be increases, but these are based on demand alone and not the particular time period. They will also be offering additional flights to try and ensure that everyone has flights and that prices remain realistic. Here are three of their prices (although based on demand and likely to change) during the SWC

Book Cheap Flights to Mumbai (Bombay)
In order to get the cheapest flight to Mumbai (Bombay), click on the button below to go to our booking engine. This will compare all Mumbai flights to find you the cheapest.
Flights Johannesburg to Mumbai (Bombay)
The great thing is that quite a few airlines fly to Mumbai (previously called Bombay) from Johannesburg. The airlines that fly direct include SAA com, Jet Airways and BA.com. However the cheapest options are typically to fly indirect, with a stop-over. The airlines that offer these include Emirates – stop in Dubai, Qatar – stop in Doha, Air Mauritius – stop in Mauritius, Ethiopian Airlines – stop in Addis Ababa, Kenya Airways – stop in Nairobi, and Turkish Airlines – stop in Istanbul. Although these flights do definitely add not only flying time, but also that time sitting around in the airport waiting for the connecting flight, the cost savings often make them very attractive and popular.
Flights Cape Town to Mumbai
Although there are quite a few options to fly to Mumbai (Bombay) from Cape Town, non are direct flights. A few even include 2 stops, with one being in Johannesburg. Typically the same airlines that do the Joburg to Mumbai route do this one.
Flights Durban to Mumbai
Like Cape Town, there are no direct flights to Mumbai from Durban. The flights will include stop-overs in Africa as well as the Middle East.
Mumbai Airport
The airport is called the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, and the code is BOM – as Mumbai used to be called Bombay. However India is apparently busy rebuilding a new airline which will be known as the Navi Mumbai International Airport.

Cheap Nairobi Flights
To get the cheapest Nairobi flights, click on the button below. Our flight comparison tool will compare all the airlines flying to Nairobi from South Africa to find you the Cheapest Nairobi Flights.
Flights Johannesburg to Nairobi
Most airlines that fly to Nairobi from Johannesburg will fly indirect – these will also be cheaper, but do take longer due to the additional stop. They can take around 15hours, and the stop is typically in Gaborone. The direct flight, which it looks like is only available from SAA (flysaa com) takes around 11 hours. At the moment, unfortunately no budget airlines fly this route, but hopefully things will change. However the only budget airline making the effort to forge routes into Africa is 1 time, but they will only fly to destinations that are within 4 hours of Johannesburg. The airlines that do fly the route also include Kenya Airways.
Flights Cape Town to Nairobi
It is not possible to fly direct to Nairobi from Cape Town. Any flight will have a stop-over in Johannesburg. Therefore these flights are typically more expensive that the JHB-NBO alternative.
Nairobi Airport
The main airport is called the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and it is roughly 15km from the city centre. There are three terminals – 1 and 2 are used for international flights and 3 for domestic. The Kenya Airports Authority (like our ACSA) is planning on doubling the size of the airport as it is already handling its capacity at just over 4.5 million passengers per year.
