Air France was formed in 1933 and today carries around 50 million passengers a year. It is the largest airline in Europe and the largest in the world – in terms of operating revenue. They have recently merged with KLM airlines. Since the merger, France has gradually reduced their shareholding from 54% to just under its current 20%
