Flights Durban

The main airport in Durban is Durban International Airport. The smallest international airport in the country, Durban International serves as a gateway for both local and international visitors wanting to visit the KwaZulu-Natal or Drakensberg areas. While most of the flights tend to be domestic flights, many international airlines will fly into Johannesburg and then connect straight to Durban. In an attempt to make Durban more accessible by air, a new airport is currently under construction. Durban’s La Mercy Airport is starting to take shape and should be ready in the very near future and will hopefully provide an even better platform for both local and international flights to enter the city. While the airport is a 24-hour airport, because of it’s smaller size the majority of flights arrive and depart within normal working hours.
